The Steamroller

Illustrated by Evaline Ness.

New York: Walker, 1974.

Description [32] p. : col. ill. ; 19 x 24 cm..

A fantasy that chronicles the adventures of a small girl that receives a steamroller for Christmas. Never published before 1974, it has the feel of a story that may have been the outline of a longer more complicated book  for older children. I'm only guessing, but it seems different from other longer works of MWBs

First Editon was indeed a Harper & Brother publication. It was thought that the last few where Harpers, but from my research I find that The Summer Noisy, and The Quiet Noisy books are the only Harper & Brother 1st. of the Noisy Book Series
